You don’t need magic to disappear.
All you need is a destination.
What comes to mind when you hear Fiji?
Do swaying palm trees, soft sand beaches, crystal clear waters, a hammock and frozen drink images fit the mental picture?
Located between Hawaii, eastern Australia and northwestern New Zealand, Fiji is a country in the South Pacific composed of an archipelago of over 330 hundred islands out of which 110 are currently inhabited.
They can be divided into 9 island groups among which the 3 most important cities are found:
Blessed with bright coral reefs, mountainous terrains, lush rainforests and year-round tropical weather, it is a magnet not only for locals but for adventurous souls who come from far away just to experience happiness. After all the people of Fiji found themselves on a list of the Happiest People On Earth and will enthusiastically greet you with Bula!
Whether you are looking for the perfect honeymoon destination, or perhaps want to be in a private island, rest and recharge batteries at an all-inclusive resort and enjoy in Dolce Far Niente, it is also a great option for families with young children as well as for those thrill seekers.
So what is there to see and do in Fiji?
Your adventurous spirit will be more than happy!
Whether you want to go island hopping at your own pace or on a fun tour
go skydiving or parasailing and witness a sensational aerial view of the islands,
scuba diving, sailing, surfing, boat tour (when in Fiji)
beach combing (who can resist?)
horseback riding, hike up a mountain
admiring a waterfall and jumping in the pool to cool off or simply read a great book poolside with a cocktail on the other hand, the choice is yours!
I would actually go for a total immersion by getting to know the locals and their culture and why not partake in a traditional Kava ceremony?
I would definitely explore the cities by visiting the markets (food, arts and crafts), enjoying a meal as the natives do and shake what my mamma gave me. Dancing is something that must be experimented, tried and lived. After all, laughter is the best medicine right?
Fiji may be worlds away but someone said that adventure is worthwhile. It will be a life-changing journey without a doubt.
If paradise has a name and address, you now know where to go…
I’m turning it over to you…
Would you go to an idyllic island like Fiji?
What is the furthest country you have ever been?
If you had to spend a week on an island,
what would you bring and what would you do?
I would love to read about it in the comments below, so do share 🙂
Until next time, hasta la próxima!
